Minister of Trade Hon. Chirau Ali Mwakwere today received a new approved and registered memorandum and article of association (M &A), which signifies a rebirth of Kenya National Chambers of commerce Industry (KNCCI), from Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) chairman Eng. Patrick Oboth.
The Minister said that KNCCI can now officially and legally hold elections to beat the 288 days deadline that was given by the court. He added that this will propel the Chamber to greater heights in discharging its mandate to facilitate trade policy.The chairman of KEPSA Eng. Patrick Oboth asked KNCCI to take full advantage of the revised stipulation in the M &A and have all the necessary structures in place in the coming year, so it can add value and enrich business in Kenya.
It also acknowledged and appreciated the government through the Ministry of Trade and the registrar of companies for the support it has received. |
