Ministry of Trade invites applications for pre-qualification/registration of suppliers for provision of goods and services from interested eligible bidders for the period ending 30th June, 2012 as per the item listing and instructions provided hereunder. Current goods and services providers should apply afresh. All applicants must be registered with Kenya Revenue Authority and Registrar of Companies.

CATEGORY A01 Supply and delivery of General Office and Computer Stationery
CATEGORY A02 Supply and delivery of Computers, Software, Accessories, Consumables, Printers, Scanners, Fax Machines and Photocopiers
CATEGORY A03 Supply and delivery of Office Furniture, Office Equipment, Furnishings and Fittings.
CATEGORY A04 Supply and delivery of Telecommunications Equipment
CATEGORY A05 Supply and delivery of Electrical Equipment and Fittings
CATEGORY A06 Supply of Staff Uniform, promotional items e.g T-shirts, caps etc
CATEGORY A07 Supply and delivery of Curtains, Nettings, Carpets, Shears and Blinds
CATEGORY A08 Supply and delivery of Motor Vehicle Tyres, Tubes and Batteries
CATEGORY A09 Supply of Fuel, Oils And Lubricants
CATEGORY A10 Supply of Cleaning Materials, Detergents and Disinfectants
CATEGORY B PROVISION OF SERVICES
CATEGORY B01 Repair, Service and Maintenance of PABX Machine and related telecommunication Equipment
CATEGORY B02 Repair and maintenance of Office Furniture
CATEGORY B03 Provision of Travel and Ticketing Services (IATA Registered Firms)
CATEGORY B04 Repair and maintenance of Computer Equipments, Photocopiers and other Office Equipments
CATEGORY B05 Repair and servicing of Motor Vehicles (only Ministry of Public Works Registered Firms)
CATEGORY B06 Provision of Cleaning Services of Curtains and Nettings.
CATEGORY B07 Provision of Printing and Publishing Services (News Letter, Booklets, Brochures, Christmas Cards, Banners, Calendars, Diaries, Promotional Materials etc.)
CATEGORY B08 Maintenance of Fire Fighting Equipments
The Ministry also invites tenders from interested eligible bidders for the supply of Goods/Services for the period ending 30th June, 2012 as listed here below:-
MOT/2/2011 - 2012 Supply and Delivery of Fresh Cut Flowers and maintenance of indoor plants
MOT/3/2011 - 2012 Supply and Delivery of Airtime Calling Cards
MOT/4/2011 - 2012 Provision of Office Cleaning and Sanitary Services
MOT/5/2011 - 2012 Provision of Fumigation and Pest Control Services
MOT/6/2011 - 2012 Supply and Delivery of Newspapers, Magazines & Periodicals
MOT/7/2011 - 2012 Provision of Security and Guards Services
Tender/Prequalification documents, with relevant details may be obtained from the Ministry, Teleposta Towers, Procurement Office on 17th Floor, Room No.1702 during official working hours , at a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings Two Thousand (Ksh.2,000/=) per set of each Category/Tender documents.
Alternatively, the bidders may download the same from the Ministry’s website www.trade.go.ke(click on the tender to open it). All payment will be made to the cashier on 16th Floor.
Prices quoted in the Tenders must be net, inclusive where applicable of all taxes and delivery costs within Nairobi area, and expressed in Kenya Shillings. Prices quoted will remain valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days from the closing date. Bid securities where required will be as stated in the bid documents and issued from reputable banks and approved insurance firms.
Duly completed Tenders or prequalifications documents, in plain sealed envelopes, without indication of the sender must be appropriately marked Tenders number or Prequalification category number are to be deposited in the Tender Box located on the 17th Floor or posted to:-
