French Week 2025 Strengthens Kenya-France Trade Ties

The French Chamber of Commerce in Kenya hosted the 3rd Edition of French Week 2025, a three-day event featuring discussions, roundtables and presentations aimed at strengthening Kenya–France trade ties and creating new investment opportunities.

The event brought together French and Kenyan companies to showcase projects, innovations and expertise across sectors including energy, healthcare, infrastructure, retail and skills development.

Key discussions focused on AI and digital innovation, sustainable infrastructure and the role of trade, tourism and culture in driving economic and social growth.

Speaking when she attended the event, Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam reaffirmed the long-standing partnership between Kenya and France and commended efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations.

She underscored the event’s role as a platform for exploring opportunities in trade, technology, investment, tourism and culture and encouraged French investors to leverage Kenya’s stable economy and emerging sectors.

Also in attendance was Kenya Investment Authority CEO John Mwendwa who highlighted Kenya’s competitiveness in renewable energy, digital services, manufacturing, e-mobility, agro-processing and tourism, emphasizing opportunities for transformative French - Kenyan collaboration.

Others present were EuroCham Kenya Chair Othmane Chaoui, French Chamber President Thibault Flichy and senior executives from both countries.
