PS Trade Regina Ombam Calls for Green Investment to Drive Africa’s Sustainable Industrial Future

The Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam last evening attended a high- level workshop dinner themed “Greening Africa’s Future: Sustainable Trade and Green Industrialization.”

The event held in Nairobi brought together delegates from across Africa, representatives of international organizations, civil society and visionary business leaders committed to shaping a sustainable future for the continent.

In her keynote address, PS Ombam emphasized the need for intentional resource allocation toward green technologies and environmentally conscious methods of production.

She noted that Africa stands at a pivotal moment where industrial growth must align with ecological responsibility.

“Adopting green industrial practices enables us to revitalise our economies while safeguarding our invaluable development,” said PS Ombam.

The dinner served not only as a platform for dialogue but also a rallying call for collective action. Participants engaged in discussions aimed at forging partnerships, influencing policy and supporting green financing frameworks that can help drive the continent’s sustainable transformation.
